The past few months have been a whirlwind, and so much has changed in such a short amount of time that I felt it was time for a “family meeting.” We so value each one of our customers and clients and think of you all as part of our BE WELLness family. As part of the family, we want to keep you in the loop.
We continue to get questions about what happened to BE WELLness, so I want to clarify that BE WELLness hasn’t gone anywhere. It is still our umbrella company. We simply broke it down into 4 integrated divisions—Better Body Movement, Simply Nourished, Special Events and Collaborative Partners Network.
Our Special Events division has been facilitating Healthy Living Education every Thursday at 7:30 PM. There is now a calendar on the website so you can see what classes are coming up. This week’s class will be a Self-Myofascial Release class led by Shea at the 419 Main Avenue location. Each Healthy Living Education class also has a Facebook event page, so be sure to let us know if you’re planning to come that way or by email.
Better Body Movement (our services division) is led by Shea at 419 Main Avenue in Clear Lake. He currently offers 3 small group fitness classes Monday through Friday (6am, 8:30am and 10:00am), as well as personal training and functional tissue therapy by appointment. Cornerstone Physical Therapy (managed by Tim Molencamp) is running out of our 419 Main Avenue location as well. Together Tim and Shea have also started a corporate wellness company called Physiocare that provides on-site wellness services and health education opportunities to companies in North Iowa. If your company is looking to implement a wellness program, please get in touch with us. Tim and Shea would love to talk to your company about how they can help.
Simply Nourished (our retail division) is located at 18 N. 3rd Street in Clear Lake. Simply Nourished is an organic, specialty and local food market, featuring gluten free and other allergy-friendly products as well as personal care products and a small selection of supplements. We are very excited to announce that we will be switching to in-season “summer” hours sooner than normal this year—Tuesday, April 3rd. Beginning in April, the hours will change to Tuesday through Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm. We hope these additional hours will help our customers who have had trouble finding time to shop during our hours. And what’s not to love about adding an additional day you can shop?! Some other big news at Simply Nourished—we have hired 2 additional sales associates, Judy Delperdang and Missy Peterson. In April we will add an additional cashier to our team as well. Be sure to introduce yourself to our new team members the next time you're in.
New hours and staff aren’t the only changes happening at Simply Nourished either. A couple of weeks ago it became obvious that we were already running out of room at our new location. We absolutely love the new location and have no intentions of changing locations again, so we had to put on our creative thinking hats. Thankfully we were able to negotiate an agreement with our landlords to be able to lease some additional space adjacent to our current space beginning in May. We will be moving our commercial kitchen into this additional space, and there will be plenty of storage room for extra inventory as well. In the next couple months you will notice some re-arranging happening to prepare for that transition. In fact, we already did some rearranging today, and next weekend we will be moving our checkout counter to make room for an additional express checkout lane (yay for our grab-n-go customers!). This will also open the selling floor so that our customers will no longer have to crunch together along the stairs while they are waiting in line.
And speaking of stairs…upstairs at Simply Nourished we have a large dining/gathering space with tables and chairs that is available for customers to use. When you need a bright space to work, study or meet up with a group, we hope you’ll consider using this beautiful space. I love to grab a kombucha and work up there next to the windows where the warm sun shines in. Free WiFi is available. Just ask for the password at the counter. One more fun thing…We will be launching a Tea Bar the beginning of March, serving a variety of hot teas as well as cold kombucha teas by the cup/glass. And our deli grab-n-go lunch options will be available very soon as well. We are shooting for the beginning of April!
Lastly, for those who don't know, BE WELLness' Collaborative Partners Network is available for practitioners, therapists and educators who are interested in partnering with other holistic providers in North Iowa. The Partners Network provides marketing opportunities, coaching, and collaborative learning opportunities. If you are a practitioner, therapist and/or educator interested in learning more about this Network, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I can't think of any other news to share so I guess this "family meeting" can be adjourned. Wishing you each a happy, healthy, pure & balanced week.
